Upon being invited by IIT-Bombay to participate in ‘Robowars’, the flagship event of the IIT-Bombay Techfest, Prof. Sudhir K. Jain, Director of IIT-Gn and Prof. Murali Damodaran took the initiative of promoting the applied aspect of engineering among the students by inviting the students to form groups and submit their ideas for the event. Initially two teams responded, which were later merged into one team comprising of Anirudh Singal, Akshay Navalakha, Shreyas Vaidya, Shubham Gupta, Varun Gupta and Ved Sahu. The design adopted by our team for the robot was a wedge type design, with a rotating shaft at the top of the bot. Fabricating a robot is not an easy task, and neither it was in our case. Despite all these difficulties, due to the supportive nature of the institute, our team was able to come up with the bot in a short time span.
Out of 168 teams who sent their portfolio to IIT Bombay, we managed to make it to the top 64 teams who were invited to IIT Bombay to participate in the final event. Though we were not able to win the competition, we came to know about the various new designs and technologies used by other teams. It was a good learning experience for us and hope to participate again with better design.

Kya chuda hua bot banaya tha BABA tune...!!!
